William H. Eisele (1923 - 2000)

Mr. Eisele worked as an aeronautical engineer for 28 years and was actively engaged in building airplane and ship models from the age of twelve. Distinguishing characteristics of his work are his built-up frame construction methods, the use of treenails (pegs), natural wood finish, and his 1/8” scale models uniquely constructed in ivory. Examples of his fine work can be found in Ships of the Sea Museum, Savannah, GA, as well as in many leading American and international private and corporate collections.
