Buzzards Bay Boys Boat
From 1898 to 1917, more than half the sailboats built by the Herreshoff Mfg. were less than 20’ at the waterline. These included many one-design sailboats, such as the Buzzards Bay 12 1/2-footers. These Herreshoff 12 1/2s proved to be the best loved of all N. G. Herreshoff’s designs. Plank-on-frame construction, with a unique hinged mast (Gooseneck) and oar storage,fully detailed, rigged, fitted and painted.
