La Coruņa

The scene is an engaging and emotional portrayal of British soldiers of the 95th Foot Rifle Brigade coming ashore under fire during the famous Peninsular War of the Napoleonic era, which took place in North Western Spain at La Coruña, 1809. The multi piece resin castings show handsomely detailed figures and a small ship’s boat, which have been authentically researched for precise uniform and weapon details. They are hand-painted with artist’s oil paints and finished in a variety of protective varnish. It is mounted on a custom oval shaped polished wooden plynth.
