Massachusetts Privateer, probable built at Plymouth, 1781. Owned by John Andrews and other Salem Merchants, 18 - 20 guns. This midget frigate, with lines and features imposing beyond her true size and strength, preyed upon British shipping until her capture in 1781 by the 44-gun HMS Assurance off our coast.
