Raymond Langdon (1926 – 2002)
Schooled in the profession of structural and precision drafting, Mr. Langdon turned his free time to his real love, ship modeling. This hobby began to take shape in his early teens when he built simple models for sale at exhibitions and craft fairs. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy, his off-time spent modeling for relaxation. Now retired, during his career he built models for numerous shipping companies and corporate and private collections, as well as for the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, the Kendall Whaling Museum and the Queen Mary Museum.
