Two English Admiralty Barges c. 1700

Glazed case with burled walnut veneer: 8 1/2" L x 3 3/4" H x 3 1/4" W
These nearly matching graceful and charismatic appearing Admiralty Barges show one representing the Royal Navy Red Squadron, while the other represents the Blue Squadron. They are displayed in a waterline setting tied to a piling. Each has numerous ornamental carving works along the gunwales and both interior bulwarks. They have a partial natural-finish hull above the waterline with interior bulwarks indicating red or blue designations, and the stern shields each have the cipher initials CR.
Both models fly their appropriate squadron ensign on a stern flagstaff.
